On 19 July, from 4am, the Absolar team laced up their running shoes and headed to Southampton Airport to take part in the annual Runway Run, raising money for the incredible Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA).
At Absolar, we're passionate about creating a positive impact for the environment and the society, and that's why the work of HIOWAA means so much to everyone at Absolar.
Over 1,300 runners took part in this year's event and raised £72,000 so far.
Before the first flights of the day, runners are able to get on the airport runway, watching the sun rise, and pacing the length of the Southampton Airport Runway.

It was a brilliant morning. Great atmosphere, lots of smiles, and a little healthy competition within the team as everyone crossed the finish line with their best effort.
More importantly, every runner was there for a cause that genuinely makes a difference.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance responds to some of the region's most serious emergencies, bringing specialist doctors and critical care paramedics directly to patients when every second matters. Unlike many emergency services, they rely heavily on donations to keep flying and delivering this vital care.
Supporting our local community has always been important to us. Whether it's helping businesses generate their own renewable energy or getting involved in events like this, we're proud to play our part.
A huge thank you to everyone who organised the event, volunteered their time, donated, or cheered us on from the sidelines.
We're already looking forward to next year's run.
