At Absolar, we know that the strength of our work comes from the strength of our team. This summer, we took time out of our busy schedule to head to the Brecon Beacons for a few days of team building, fresh air, and fun.
The trip gave us the chance to step away from our desks and immerse ourselves in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Together we hiked some of the highest peaks in the Brecon Beacons, enjoying stunning views, plenty of laughter, and more than a few sore legs by the end of the day. These moments on the trail reminded us of the value of perseverance, teamwork, and celebrating achievements side by side, qualities that carry through into our projects.
Back at the house, the team made the most of the garden and the sunshine. Instead of a typical group photo, we created something much more personal: a playful portrait where everyone did something they loved. Some read books, others played cricket and badminton, some tried yoga, and one or two preferred to pore over maps. With the house in the background, the scene came together like a living painting.
Of course, this was only one of many memories captured. From shared meals and evening games to moments of quiet reflection, the trip was filled with opportunities to connect on a personal level. These photos now form a collection that captures not only what we did, but also who we are as a team, curious, energetic, supportive, and creative.
Taking time out together helps us return to work recharged and inspired. It strengthens our collaboration, deepens trust, and reminds us that behind every solar project is a group of people who truly enjoy working together.
The Brecon Beacons trip was a special moment in our year, and the photos we brought home will continue to inspire us long after the holiday has ended.
